Manage Departments

Overview

Use this page to create, edit, or delete departments and review the department hierarchy. This is helpful when you need to update your organization structure or confirm where a department sits within the company.

Permissions / Access

Who can perform this action?

  • Company Manager

Management Console -> Departments -> Manage Departments

Steps

  1. Navigate to Management Console.
  2. Select the Departments tab.
  3. Select Manage Departments.
  4. Select Create Department, Edit Department, or Delete Department.
  5. Enter or update the required department information.
  6. Select the option to save or confirm the change.
  7. Select your company name in the hierarchy panel to review the department structure.

Result

  • The department is created, updated, or removed based on the action you selected.
  • The department hierarchy reflects the current organization structure.

Notes / Tips

  • Review the hierarchy after changes to confirm the parent department is correct.
  • Your company appears as the root of the department structure.

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: A department appears under the wrong parent department.
  • Solution: Edit the department and confirm the correct parent department selection.
  • Issue: You cannot delete a department.
  • Solution: Review whether the department has dependent structure or assigned users that must be updated first.
